swimming-under-water: tamagucci: The Rape Of Persephone by Gian Lorenzo Bernini I had the worst opinion of Bernini before I started seeing a few of his pieces on Tumblr. From what I’d seen in real life I wasn’t entirely impressed. I thought that the piece Herakles the Archer was his because it was in the same collection at Orsay, but when I realised that that was by Bourdelle I kind of discarded Bernini. Now I’m not so sure. I mean, this piece if fantastic.
